Rick Slager joins Linden as an Operating Partner

Chicago, Illinois (June 7, 2021) – Linden Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused exclusively on healthcare, today announced that Rick Slager joined the firm as an Operating Partner. Mr. Slager will support Linden’s post-acute care efforts, particularly around the hospice and home health sectors. Mr. Slager is an accomplished executive with over 35 years of post-acute experience. Most recently, Mr. Slager founded and has served as the CEO of INVU Care, a technology-enabled communications platform that enables active remote care for hospice and home care patients.

Prior to founding INVU Care, Mr. Slager served as Chairman and CEO of several national and regional healthcare services companies, most notably VistaCare, a former national provider of hospice care, and Karrington Health, a former national provider of assisted living services. After leading both companies on a strong growth trajectory, Mr. Slager guided both through their initial public offerings and subsequent sales.

Mr. Slager holds a BA in Economics and JD from the University of Notre Dame where he played both varsity football and tennis, served as a graduate assistant football coach, and was named the Student’s Representative to the University’s Board of Athletics. Upon leaving Notre Dame in 1980 he practiced law with Bricker and Eckler in Columbus Ohio.

Since then, Mr. Slager has served as Board Chairman for Vistacare, Inc, Karrington Health, Inc., Remita Health, Inc., Acacia Living (dba. INVUCare) and the Assisted Living Federation of America (now Argentum). Additionally, he has served on the Boards of Intermed and Developmed, Inc., Sunrise Assisted Living, Inc., Livhome Inc., and The National Hospice and Palliative Care Association, where he chaired the Legislative and Regulatory Committee.
