Linden Announces Appointment of Tom Kuhn as Operating Partner

Former Senior Vice President of VIASYS Expands Firm’s Expertise

Chicago, Illinois (January 14, 2008) - Linden LLC, a Chicago-based private investment firm that focuses on middle market leveraged buyout investments in the healthcare and life science sectors, continues to develop its network of executives with today’s announcement of the addition of Tom Kuhn as an Executive in Residence.

Mr. Kuhn brings over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry to Linden. Tom most recently served as Senior Vice President of VIASYS Healthcare and Group President of VIASYS MedSystems, a manufacturer and global distributor of value-added single patient use devices addressing the enteral, gastroenterology, barrier control and airway management markets, which was recently acquired by Cardinal Health. Mr. Kuhn has held several senior level positions in operations and finance within companies ranging from start-ups to turnarounds and has experience with both branded and OEM product based businesses. Mr. Kuhn spent the early part of his career in various financial, accounting and auditing positions. He holds a B.S. in Business from Eastern Illinois University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Kuhn expands Linden’s group of Operating Partners who collectively have over a century of healthcare experience. Tom will work closely with Linden’s investment team in the development of corporate relationships, with the specific goal of identifying and sourcing investment opportunities. Linden expects Tom to serve as the CEO for a new acquisition and if needed as a board member or interim manager for select portfolio companies
