Corporate Relationships
Linden’s sourcing strategy is aimed at creating proprietary or advantaged investment opportunities. To accomplish this objective, Linden uses three interlocking resources: its corporate relationship management program, its in-house market intelligence program and its relationships with industry executives. These efforts augment Linden’s traditional sourcing through investment banks, business brokers, attorneys and accountants.
A key component of Linden’s strategy is building long-term relationships with the largest healthcare and life science companies in the world. Linden’s in-house market intelligence program drives the initial identification of targets and enables the direct dialogue with corporations. Linden's executive network provides personal introductions to the corporations. To date, Linden has developed over 70 such relationships with large healthcare and life science corporations and has multiple contacts at various levels within each company.
This corporate relationship management program is
designed to:
- Create strategic alternatives for a parent corporation’s non-core operations while creating proprietary investment opportunities for Linden
- Offer leads to independent businesses the corporate executives may know
Through its research and resource network, Linden proactively meets with senior executives to provide strategic advice and perspective that is useful to corporations and their non-core operations. Flexible and innovative transaction structures enable corporations to harvest more value from their maturing operations. Often, this takes the form of a continued minority ownership stake in the business.
